Take Back the Afternoon (After-school)
In a world where everyone seems to be racing from point A to point B and maybe point C before getting back to point A, we are drifting quickly from each other and Mother Nature. We are advocates of creating a kind and respectful community. We are advocating for a slow childhood. "A time for good, old-fashioned real play." (Sobel p.70)

Join us for an adventure as we bring back games we played in our childhood, kick the can anyone? When is the last time you built a fort? Found a sit spot and listened to the birds or the wind? Build out of cardboard boxes? Play in the rain/mud??

Hours will be 2-5pm

Spring-fed pond
We will introduce various ecological elements of nature including plants, wildlife, and water. We will also introduce community science projects and do plenty of art. This class invites everyone to explore and to wonder alongside the facilitator.
Service Name
Interesting diversions and discoveries will be part of every session, as participants make observations, ask questions, and have impromptu discussions when curiosity is sparked!
Sit Spots
By regularly connecting to nature, we all begin to form a bond to the land and each other, fostering compassion for our earth and its inhabitants. We all become nature stewards.
Forest Play
The afternoon includes child-led exploration of our location and plenty of time for free play in every session.
