Stay & Play "Wildlings"

Monday-Stay and Play for 6 & under 9:30-noon

 

This class is for caregivers and their young forest explorers (ages birth - 6 years). It is led by a  Wild Oak Explorer guide.  We believe in a mixed-age environment where the young are learning from the older students as well as the older ones still learning from the younger ones while maintaining their empathy for both. We believe in Free Play in Nature and your child will experience this while in class. It gives time for parents to step back after our lessons and watch the magic happen as your child's imagination is released.

Being in nature encourages healthy minds and bodies, and research shows that regular interaction with nature creates a greater sense of happiness, overall physical health, and well-being.

Thank you for joining us for Forest Family Fun. A few things to know about the day:

​

* Please arrive shortly before 9:30 as we aim to start on time. 

​

* Please wear closed-toe shoes, clothes you don't mind getting dirty, a hat, and a blanket if you would like to stretch out on the ground. 

​

* Please bring bug spray, sunscreen, and WATER. 

​

* Feel free to bring lunch as we will end our day with the opportunity to play and relax.

​​

​​​​***We will cancel the morning of class for inclement weather.  This day will be replaced with another.***

We must have a minimum of 3 families in order to meet.
